New: A Training on Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment for Behavior Technicians

Dear Colleagues,

FTF is pleased to announce the release of our new course: A Training on Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment for Behavior Technicians by Drs. Hanley, Ruppel, and Cammilleri. As the title implies, this course is specifically designed for behavior technicians. As such, it does not offer CEUs.

The course presents 12 hours of newly recorded material. In this course, behavior technicians (or any other collaborating implementor) will gain an understanding of the values and priorities underlying the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) processes, as well as clarification of their multiple roles with respect to these processes.

Through a combination of lecture, active responding, video models, and computer-based differential feedback, they will learn how to talk about and implement the PFA and SBT processes with diverse client populations. Behavior technicians will learn specific skills such as setting up analyses, collecting and graphing data, how to bring the joy, progress an establishing operation, prompt a skill, differentially reinforce, respond to both mild and severe forms of problem behavior, and extend the skills to new evocative situations. They will also learn the more general skills of supporting and responding to parents and becoming an effective supervisee.

This course costs $150 and is eligible for a 20% discount for group purchases of 20+ seats. Such purchases also come with a free live 60-minute Q&A session with either Dr. Hanley, Dr. Ruppel, or Dr. Cammilleri—whomever is available. To arrange cohorts for group purchases, email Dr. Cammilleri acammilleri@ftfbc.com
